Playing with post-processing in Lightroom and Photoshop. I'm fond of these two in particular.

Skyline Divide and Mt. Shuksan

Puget Coast

This coastline is one of my favorites. I've returned here more times than any other place in WA. It's not hard to see why! These shots are some of the first images taken from my new 10-22mm lens. Love that lens!! When you notice the view of peripheral vision, it's quite similar to the range captured by this lens. Finally, a place can look as grand as it did in person!

The photo of seagulls flying off the boulder recently won first place in an "Experience Your Northwest" photo contest.

Seattle Photography Tourism

A high school friend came up to visit. Being that he's a photographer, we hit all the "money shot" locations possible in a limited amount of time. The skyline is Seattle (one of my favorite shots), the waterfall is at Paradise on Mt. Rainier, the forest is Rainier National Park, and the stump is in a dry lake bed nearby.

Pacific Tide Pools

When the sun peeks through clouds anytime from Fall to Spring in Seattle, take advantage of it! Picked up M's mom, the dog, and headed for the Pacific. These are my first sightings of starfish! A sea lion was sleeping in the swells of a nearby cove, but it slipped away too quickly for a photo op. From one of the cliffs, a Bald Eagle and crow chased each other through the sky. Surprisingly, the crow won. A very nice evening exploring tide pools and taking long exposures.

Artist Point, Mt. Baker

Mt. Baker holds records for snowfall, and on this day, she was just settling in, collecting a nice blanket of winter white. This is one of my favorite shots of M hiking on the trail towards Herman Saddle. After the near blizzard conditions convinced us to return to reasonable levels of sanity and the car, we stopped at a campground for long exposures of the river. The dog got to try out her winter jacket. :-)
